Director of ALM

pmactuarial specialise in Actuarial search within UK Life insurance. We have partnered exclusively with a growing life insurer in the search for an ALM Director.

The role-holder will provide strategic leadership and expert oversight of asset and liability management activities with a particular focus on ALM management of the balance sheet, ALM reporting for in-force business, capital logic development and management, risk management and reporting and information/data management.

The role-holder will ensure the effective alignment of assets and liabilities, optimise capital usage, and support the organisations business objectives, financial strength and resilience. This role will lead the quantitative analysis team, driving innovation in ALM, ALM reporting and technology, and ensures robust internal and external reporting to boards and UK regulators.

There is also an expectation that this role will quickly develop into a deputy chief actuary role.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned qualified Actuary with significant experience of leading departments within complex life insurers. Whilst capital or ALM experience would be desirable, we are looking for a strong leader.
