Are you an experienced and creative Year 2 Teacher looking for a fresh challenge in a highly supportive environment from January 2026? This Outstanding primary in Southwark is recruiting a Full-Time Year 2 Teacher to join a strong KS1 team. The Year 2 Teacher will start planning immediately and be fully in post from January 2026 , supported by a thoughtful induction programme beginning in the weeks before January 2026 .
The successful Year 2 Teacher will deliver inspiring, well-sequenced lessons that develop reading, writing and number fluency. As a Year 2 Teacher you will create a classroom climate where curiosity and resilience flourish. The Year 2 Teacher will use high-quality formative assessment, run targeted interventions and lead small-group work. This Full-Time Year 2 Teacher role offers scope to build pupils’ vocabulary, deepen comprehension and develop independent writers across the spring term that begins January 2026 .
