Credit-Bearing Internship: AI Development
Remote | Duration: 6 Months | Start Date: 3rd November | Commitment : 20 h/week | UK-based Students | Application Deadline: 24th October
About the Opportunity
NexCell Solutions is forming a small, focused student team to design and build a new intelligent system from the ground up.
This internship is for students who want to take part in the full creation process, from concept to working prototype, inside a professional tech environment.
You will help define, develop, and test core components of a real applied AI project. The work requires initiative, adaptability, and high attention to detail.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with a small remote team to design and develop new software.
- Take part in early architectural decisions, coding, and testing.
- Apply responsible and structured development practices focused on security, reliability, and user trust.
- Work directly with NexCell’s senior engineers and receive individual mentorship.
Who You Are
- A student currently pursuing a Bachelor's or a Master’s degree, expected to graduate in 2026 onwards.
- A fast learner who enjoys solving complex problems.
- Able to work independently, communicate progress clearly, and handle shifting priorities.
- Reliable, disciplined, and eager to contribute ideas.
- Motivated by real collaboration and the chance to build something that matters.
Preferred Background
- Currently studying Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or Design, or any other relevant degree.
- Comfortable with one or more of the following: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, GitHub, React, APIs, or UX/UI design, ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, etc.
- Strong written English and the ability to work effectively in remote teams.
Internship Details
- Duration: 6 months internships (unpaid)
- Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week, flexible
- Format: Fully remote collaboration
- Compensation: Unpaid internship including mentorship, certification, and professional reference upon completion
