C++ Developer – Trading Platform

(up to £60K)

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a C++ (Linux) developer to join our high profile client. My client is a well-known financial connectivity provider for the front office. They have a world leading trading platform that provides real-time data display, electronic market access, risk management, algorithmic trading and workflow automation. As such they are a firm driven by technology and getting the most out of it.

You will be part of the talented team responsible for the server side of the platform of the low latency high volume transaction network for Equity and Fixed Income trades. Some elements that need quick development time are written in Java (as such we would consider a Java Developer who wants to learn low level C++). C++ is used due to its ability to stand up to low latency transactions and its speed. (it does take a little longer to code though).

You must possess excellent problem solving skills, a strong motivation and experience to develop high quality, efficient and maintainable code and a first class attitude to adapt to a fast moving and dynamic environment Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle from specification through development to production to catch bugs early
• Design, implement, deploy and maintain a greenfield platform
• Low Latency connectivity development
• Deliver projects in new functional areas

Candidates must have:

• C++ (We would consider a Java profile who wants to learn)
• OO
• Ideally STL or BOOST
• Exposure with real-time applications
• SQL
• Ideally Unix
• Ideally an EU Passport
• Knowledge or financial markets for equities or derivatives (ideally)

Experience in Java and an exposure to the finance industry would be an advantage.

The role suits a senior developer that looking to gain more exposure to real-time trading systems and risk as well as fit into a mature and relaxed team in a fun work environment that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
