Electrical Shift Engineer – Facilities Management

Location: Greenwich

Shift Pattern: Unique Shift – Days Only

Salary: £48,000 + Overtime + Benefits

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a background in facilities management or building services We are working with committed client who are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Shift Engineer to join their on-site FM team on a prestigious commercial/heritage contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a commercial environment where you’ll play a key role in keeping building systems safe, compliant, and operational around the clock.

The Role

As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency systems, BMS, UPS, and HVAC controls.


Responding to and resolving building services faults to minimize downtime and disruption.


Ensuring compliance with statutory and company safety standards.


Supporting contractors and managing permits to work where required.


Logging jobs and maintaining accurate records using CAFM systems.


Communicating effectively with site stakeholders and FM managers.

What You’ll Need

NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or similar.


18th Edition Wiring Regulations.


Experience in a commercial or critical environment (e.g., offices, hospitals, data centres).


Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.


Good understanding of Health & Safety, building compliance, and safe systems of work (e.g., RAMS, PTW).

Desirable Skills

LV Authorised Person (or willingness to train).


Basic mechanical understanding for multi-skilled tasks.


Experience with CAFM systems and BMS monitoring.


Excellent communication and customer service skills.
