A welcoming Primary School in the London Borough of Greenwich is seeking an experienced Premises Manager to lead the management of its school site. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who is passionate about maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment where children can learn and staff can thrive.
Working closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the maintenance, health and safety and day-to-day operation of the school premises. You will lead the premises function while ensuring statutory compliance and high standards are maintained across the entire site.

Premises Team
The Premises Team plays a vital role in ensuring the school site is safe, compliant and maintained to an exceptional standard, supporting the delivery of high-quality education every day.
Responsibilities
Managing the day-to-day operation of the school site.
Leading the premises and caretaking team.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
Managing planned and reactive maintenance.
Coordinating external contractors.
Monitoring building security systems.
Managing maintenance budgets.
Conducting regular site inspections.
Maintaining fire safety and compliance records.
Overseeing cleaning standards across the school.
Managing lettings where applicable.
Supporting emergency procedures.
Planning preventative maintenance programmes.
Ensuring statutory servicing is completed on time.
Maintaining an attractive, safe and welcoming school environment.
Requirements
Previous Premises Manager or facilities management experience.
Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Experience managing contractors.
Good leadership and organisational skills.
Strong practical maintenance knowledge.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to prioritise workload.
Good IT skills.
Commitment to safeguarding.
Flexible and proactive approach.
