Housing Solutions Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Solutions Officer for a Local Authority Client in Kingston.

In this role, you will work with individuals and families at risk of homelessness, providing tailored advice and practical solutions to help them keep their homes or secure safe, sustainable accommodation.

Duties:

• Prevent and relieve homelessness by providing advice, carrying out assessments, and supporting households to secure or sustain accommodation.
• Manage a varied caseload in line with housing legislation, policies, and statutory timescales.
• Build strong partnerships with landlords, housing providers, voluntary agencies, and other council services to deliver effective solutions.
• Deliver high-quality customer service by making fair decisions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring residents receive the right support at the right time.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Experience of working with people who are homeless, vulnerable, or in stressful situations.
• Knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation, policies, and guidance.
• Experience of managing caseloads, making decisions, and meeting performance targets.
• Experience of building partnerships with landlords, agencies, and support services to achieve positive outcomes.

What's on offer:

Salary: £26ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
