Chanel Visual Merchandising & Retail Event Coordinator
- Own and coordinate local VM orchestration projects, including window display planning, execution, follow-up and reporting across the UK network.
- Maintain and challenge boutique VM standards in accordance with global guidelines, boutique needs and the expectations of Watch & Fine Jewellery, Fashion and Wholesale networks.
- Carry out regular boutique display refreshes, building constant dialogue with retail and global teams to ensure local execution remains luxurious, accurate and commercially relevant.
- Optimise and manage POS tools, including inventory management, maintenance, ordering, allocation, training and follow-up with boutique teams.
- Animate the VM community and organise regular VM training with retail teams and wholesale partners to strengthen the consistency of display standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create visually engaging VM displays that align with global guidelines, business needs and the CHANEL client experience.
- Provide regular feedback to global teams on local market needs through clear reports, observations and recommendations.
- Establish regular visits to wholesale partners to support in-store merchandising, coaching, training and development of display standards.
- Support retail event production from planning through to delivery, including supplier coordination, logistics, on-site set-up, installation, dismantling and post-event follow-up.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, anticipating risks, managing timelines and ensuring clear communication throughout projects.
- Code VM expenses in the finance system and maintain accurate administrative follow-up.
- Place and track orders for POS tools, window decor, generic permanent VM tools and event production needs across all networks.
- Strong visual judgement to support the ultimate luxury image of CHANEL.
- Proven experience in visual merchandising, retail environments, event coordination or design, ideally within luxury retail
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to review VM execution critically and uphold high brand standards consistently
- Confidence to be assertive when needed on VM display standards, while maintaining constructive relationships with boutique, retail and partner teams
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills across internal and external partners
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage priorities, timelines, suppliers, logistics and follow-up actions
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate issues and recommend practical solutions
- Agility to reinforce the visibility of campaigns and product collections while contributing to the unique client experience at CHANEL
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, architecture, graphic design, visual arts or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Proficiency in English
- proficiency in SketchUp and Adobe Suite, AutoCAD and rendering programmes such as V-Ray, Lumion or similar is desirable
- A passion for creativity, innovation and beautifully executed luxury retail experiences
- Creating and maintaining unique VM displays in accordance with global guidelines, boutique needs and business priorities
- Taking ownership of projects from planning through to execution and follow-up
- Working in a fast-paced environment while remaining positive, proactive and agile
- Connecting with different divisions, including Fashion, Fragrance & Beauty, across events and projects
- Building productive relationships with retail teams, global partners, marketing teams, suppliers and wholesale partners
- Continuously evaluating and refreshing VM in boutiques to maintain client interest, elevate standards and support footfall
