Nursery Assistant

Nursery Teaching Assistant | Lewisham | September 2025 Start

Reeson Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Lewisham who are seeking a full-time Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a rewarding role supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), working closely with the class teacher and SEN staff to provide a nurturing learning environment.

The Role:

Supporting children in the Nursery (EYFS) setting with their early learning and development

Working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils, including some children with SEN needs

Assisting with planning and delivering engaging activities that follow the EYFS framework

Helping create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment

Collaborating with teachers, parents and external professionals where needed

Requirements:

CACHE Level 2 or higher qualification in Early Years / Childcare (essential)

Previous experience supporting children in EYFS (nursery or reception)

Understanding of child development and early learning milestones

Experience supporting children with SEN (desirable but not essential)

Must be available full-time for the full academic year

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
