About The Role:

We’re looking for a Technical Lead - Partner Network Engineering to oversee and evolve how our partner engineering units operate. This is a hybrid role that combines technical leadership with strategic management, ensuring that our engineering teams - both internal and external - are aligned, high-performing, and consistently delivering high-quality software.

You’ll play a key role in building process maturity across the unit, improving technical consistency, and driving knowledge-sharing across teams. You’ll also take ownership of planning, performance, and coordination across partner teams, ensuring they’re set up for long-term success and tightly integrated into Paysend’s broader engineering goals.

If you’re an experienced tech lead with strong hands-on skills and a passion for building scalable engineering organisations - we’d love to hear from you. What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Lead, plan, and manage the work of our engineering partner unit, ensuring alignment with Paysend’s strategic and technical goals.
  • Define and enforce consistent software development processes across teams.
  • Be responsible for the efficiency of our processing solution.
  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on support - you’ll be actively involved in coding, reviewing, and guiding engineers when needed.
  • Oversee knowledge management within the unit, ensuring consistent understanding of the technologies we use (JVM, .NET, pgPLSQL, etc.).
  • Coordinate cross-functional work with other engineering units and company departments.
  • Approve technical documentation and ensure it aligns with internal standards.
  • Manage performance, growth, and professional development across the team.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate software and technical solutions — and where needed, identify the need for custom software development.
  • Drive continuous improvement in code quality, technical delivery, and team collaboration.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful In This Role:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Tech Lead or Engineering Management role.
  • Strong technical expertise in JVM, .NET, and pgPLSQL, with a solid track record of writing and reviewing code in real-world environments. Knowledge of the Rust universe will be beneficial.
  • Proven ability to lead by example - you’re hands-on, but also know when to delegate and coach.
  • Strong architectural thinking and experience with building scalable, maintainable software.
  • Excellent people leadership skills - you know how to bring out the best in individuals and teams.
  • Clear and confident communication skills - able to bridge technical and business conversations with ease.
  • Experience working with modern CI/CD pipelines, Git, and cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • A strong grasp of security best practices and how to embed them in the development lifecycle.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset -comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving results in fast-paced environments.

Why Join Paysend?

  • Make a Global Impact: Directly impact millions of users worldwide
