Location: Wellington Barracks, 60 Petty France, London SW1H 9EU
Pay: £15.90 per hour | Hours: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hrs/week)
Schedule: 5 days over 7 (alternate weekends) | Shifts: Early (06:30–14:30) & Late (10:00–18:00)

Ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join our talented team at Wellington Barracks. With three busy kitchens and a vibrant service to deliver, you’ll play a key role in leading the brigade, supporting the Head Chef, and ensuring every dish is exceptional.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead kitchen operations when the Head Chef is away.
• Prepare dishes to spec, following recipe sheets and allergen guidelines.
• Manage food production, reduce waste, and maintain stock control.
• Receive and store deliveries using FIFO procedures.
• Allocate tasks and mentor the kitchen team.
• Maintain hygiene standards and oversee deep cleans.
• Ensure all team members are trained and compliant.

What We’re Looking For:

• UK residency for the past 3 years and legal right to work.
• Ability to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
• Relevant culinary qualification and at least 2 years’ experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP.
• Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Calm under pressure, organised, and ready for a trade test.
