Specialist Outpatient Occupational Therapist
Our well-known client, one of the largest providers of privately funded healthcare in the UK has a Specialist Occupational Therapist vacancy in London. This hospital in the UK entirely dedicated to women and children. Their inpatient and outpatient specialties reflect this, providing clinical expertise in Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Women`s Health.

Hours: Full time 37.5

Client Group - Services - women and children - Outpatients (Some Inpatients may be required)
Exp: Paediatric Background & Hospital Setting Must.
Sponsorship available if in the UK already Although this role is predominantly outpatient based, there will be an expectation that the candidate will assist with the management of the inpatient caseload as and when needed. At the Portland we are passionate about service development and this role will include assisting the Clinical Lead and Advanced Occupational Therapists with service development projects.
* Candidate ensures that a professional, high quality Occupational Therapy service is delivered to the children we see as well as their families.
* Candidate works independently and with a sense of autonomy. Independently providing appropriate assessments and treatment interventions, independent treatment planning for clients and joint MDT working for appropriate goal setting meetings.
* Service development - working alongside the Clinical Lead and supervisors the candidate will promote service development within the department.
* Candidate will supervise students and provide appropriate clinical and learning opportunities to students.
* Candidate will supervise and provide appropriate learning for therapy assistants.
* The Candidate will undertake ongoing CPD learning opportunities to ensure personal skill development, contribute to development of specialist services and relevant policies helping implement policy changes and monitoring standards of clinical practice and additional tasks as required and considered pertinent to the role.
The Candidate will promote OT to all stakeholders Requirements:
* BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent).
* Current registered member of Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Minimum 2 years experience in Paediatrics in a clinical setting, such as an outpatient clinic hospital. Previous hospital and acute experience or exposure is beneficial.
* Knowledge and application of paediatric OT assessments and interventions relevant to a paediatric client group.
* Experience working with an outpatient caseload with varying knowledge and experience with different conditions and diagnoses.
* A comprehensive Paediatric background (not just a little bit of experience alongside adults) and within a hospital setting is a must Benefits :
